Ab’s step by step Guide on How to meditate

Every Monday this month I will be focusing on sharing my habits with you and what I have instilled in my everyday life that has made a huge difference. This week I decided to share my step by step mediation for beginners. Everyone always asks me how I got started with my meditation practice. I recommend incorporating this into your daily routine for best result. 

Step 1 : Find a calm & quiet place where you can sit and feel comfortable.

Step 2 : Set a timer. As a beginner I recommend anywhere between 5-10 minutes. 

Step 3 : Sit in a comfortable position you can stay in for a while. Listen to your body.  

Step 4 : Feel your breath. Notice your breath as it goes in and as it goes out.

Step 5 : It’s natural for your mind to wander. Once you notice it has simply return your attention to your breath. 

Step 6 : While in this meditative state don't judge yourself or any thoughts that come to mind.

Step 7 : Close with kindness. Take a final deep breath in and out. Softly open your eyes and notice how your body and emotions now feel.
