Pandemic Miracle : 31 W 70 Street, #10

When I first listed 31 West 70th Street, unit 10 in late March of 2020 I was extremely nervous. New York had just put in a place a stay at home order. I sure didn’t think my team would be able to put this listing into contract. However, it was a pandemic miracle after I received a phone call from a broker with an interested buyer.

When I listed the apartment I knew we would not get much traction. I decided to add a selfie video walkthrough of the unit I had made in 2018. I wanted prospective buyers to get an authentic feel of the unit. My team and I discovered in 2017 that buyers want to walkthrough units right from their computer or smart phone in a raw authentic form. Sometimes overly edited photos and produced videos are not as attractive.

This experience was something I never knew I would live through. I managed to have the buyer walkthrough the apartment while on FaceTime with me. And a few days later we got it #sold ! This year has taught me that we have to adapt to our circumstances even when you think it’s impossible.

Here is the full NYTimes article. Lots of details on how fellow colleagues managed to sell during the beginning of the pandemic. I also reveal how much this beauty was sold for. I’ll give you a hint it was very close to our asking price.
