Why? Live? There? : West Village
Another Wednesday’s Why? Live? There? Today we are heading to the bustling centrally located neighborhood of West Village.
“The Village” is a beloved mix of the best that New York has to offer, including the iconic Washington Square Park. A diverse group of residents all contribute to the energy of this lively yet well-behaved slice of Manhattan.
Entertainment never ends in the Village. The neighborhood is a popular meet-up spot for get togethers amongst friends. With plenty of popular restaurants, Greenwich Village consistently draws diners from across the city.
Some of my favorite places to dine in WV:
◽️Cafe Cluny
▫️Cozy and reliable breakfast, lunch, and dinner from the people who bring you Odeon and Café Luxembourg.
▫️What to order : NY strip steak with french fries
◽️Carbone
▫️ The restaurant pays homage to the essence of the great Italian-American restaurants of mid-20th century in New York.
▫️ What to order: spicy rigatoni vodka
◽️Magnolia Bakery
▫️ Magnolia Bakery, one of the most famous NYC cake shops. Their first store was opened on Bleecker street in 1966 and now they ship worldwide!
▫️ What to order: Banana Pudding
